Jemimah Rodrigues produced the innings of her life, smashing a sublime unbeaten century as India chased down a record target to beat defending champions Australia by five wickets and book a place in the Women’s World Cup final.

Chasing 339, Rodrigues held the innings together with a match-winning 127 off 134 balls, while skipper Harmanpreet Kaur struck a fluent 89 off 88. Deepti Sharma (24) and Richa Ghosh (26) added valuable runs down the order as India sealed victory with nine balls remaining. The team will now face South Africa in the final.

Earlier, Australia posted a formidable 338 all out in 50 overs after opting to bat. Opener Phoebe Litchfield top-scored with 119 off 93 balls, while Ellyse Perry (77) and Ashleigh Gardner (65 off 45) powered the innings with aggressive knocks.

For India, young spinner Shree Charani (2/49) was the standout performer, while Deepti Sharma (2/73) picked up key wickets despite an expensive spell. Kim Garth (2/46) and Annabel Sutherland (2/69) were among the wickets for Australia.
