Young Kerala all-rounder Mohammed Enaan scored an unbeaten century to inspire India A to victory against India B, and confirmed their berth in the final of an Under-19 Tri-Series in Bengaluru on Sunday.

Enaan scored 105 not out off 74 balls, hitting six sixes and 12 boundaries to help India A post 269/7 in 50 overs. In response, India B were bundled out for 243. Harvansh Pangalia scored 99 for India B.

Enaan, 19, who bowls leg-spin, is the son of Shanavas and Raheena, natives of Mundoor in the Thrissur district. Enaan got his early cricketing education in Sharjah before the family relocated to Kerala. He studies at the Sree Kerala Varma College in Thrissur.

Enaan played in various age-group tournaments for Kerala before earning his call-up to the national side for the U-19 Asia Cup after impressing in a home series win against Australia U-19s. Enaan claimed six wickets in the two youth ODIs and 16 in two Youth Tests against the Australians.

Afghanistan U-19 are the third side in the series, which will play against India B on Tuesday. India A and Afghanistan will clash in the last league fixture on Thursday. The final is scheduled for November 30.
