Pakistan Cricket Board chief Mohsin Naqvi is reportedly preparing to ask Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to reverse a potential boycott of the T20 World Cup match against India, scheduled for February 15 in Colombo, following appeals from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Emirates cricket boards, and the ICC, as the Bangladesh Cricket Board president requested an end to the boycott during talks in Lahore. Naqvi is expected to brief the Prime Minister on these communications and other related issues, including a prior discussion with ICC Vice Chairman Imran Khawaja where Naqvi questioned the ICC's stance on Pakistan refusing to accept the Asia Cup trophy from an Indian official, a situation arising after Bangladesh was eliminated from the World Cup due to refusing to play in India over security concerns.
