Kerala Premier League: Skipper Samuel scores late winner for Gokulam against Kovalam

Wayanad: Captain Samuel Mensah Konney scored a late winner to give Gokulam Kerala FC a 1-0 victory over Kovalam FC in the first leg of their semifinal encounter in the Kerala Premier League at Kalpetta on Tuesday.

Samuel's winner came in the injury time of the second half. The late winner denied tournament underdogs Kovalam a massive point ahead of their second leg on Thursday.

Kerala United that crushed Wayanad United 3-0 in the first leg of the first semifinal, will eye their spot in the final when the sides meet for the second leg on Wednesday.
