KPL: Wayanad secure narrow win, but Kerala United enter final on aggregate

Wayanad: Kerala United FC advanced to the final of the Kerala Premier League on a 3-1 aggregate win despite losing the second leg of their semifinal contest (1-0) to Wayanad United at Kalpetta here on Wednesday.

Kerala United had won the first leg 3-0 on Monday.

Wayanad United needed to overturn the huge deficit to advance but failed to score freely. The solitary goal came from substitute Issahak Nuhu Seidu in the 74th minute.

Gokulam Kerala and Kovalam FC will lock horns in the second leg of the second semifinal on Thursday. Gokulam had won the first leg 1-0.
