Liverpool's talismanic winger Mo Salah made Sunday's Premier League-clinching victory over Tottenham Hotspur extra special by taking a selfie with fans during the match.

After scoring Liverpool's fourth in a thumping 5-1 win, Salah went over to the Anfield crowd, took the phone from a fan and clicked a few selfies. Players often take celebratory snaps with fans at the end of a match, but rarely when the game is still on.

But there were no complaints; not even a yellow card was issued to the Egyptian or time wasting because the occasion deserved to be captured, and Salah took the onus upon himself. Luis Diaz (16), Alexis Mac Allister (24) and Cody Gakpo (34) scored on the night, while Udogie turned in an own goal in the 69th minute to complete Liverpool’s five-star performance.

Salah is almost certain to win the Golden Boot as he heads the goalscorer's tally with 28 strikes, six more than Newcastle United's Alexander Isak. He is also fifth among the all-time Premier League goalscorers, only two goals short of Andrew Cole's 187. Alan Shearer (260), Harry Kane (213) and Wayne Rooney (208) lead the table. Liverpool have clinched the Premier League title with four matches remaining.

Salah's was certainly not a goodbye selfie because he recently signed a contract extension till 2027. However, his teammate Alexander-Arnold might have wished he too walked into that selfie because the English full-back is out of contract and being strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Arne Slot's Liverpool have 82 points from 34 matches, leading second-placed Arsenal by 15 points. The best the Londoners can get to it is 82, and even if Liverpool were to lose their remaining four matches, the title is already sealed and secured. Liverpool now have the joint-most English top-flight titles at 20, a record they share with Manchester United.
