Argentine Football Association's (AFA) National Teams Administrator Daniel Cabrera met with Kerala Sports Minister V Abdurahiman to discuss the team's upcoming visit to the state.

The official is expected to review all matters related to the team's travel, accommodation, and security with the minister. The meeting is taking place at a private hotel in Kochi.

Cabrera will also evaluate the safety conditions at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kochi, where the Argentina team is expected to play a friendly match. Though the opponent has not been finalised yet, reports suggest that Australia is likely to face the reigning world champions.

An official confirmation regarding the likely opponents of the Messi-led team is expected in the coming days. The friendly match is scheduled to take place between November 10 and 18. In August, the minister said that Australia had expressed interest in playing the friendlies.
