Indian shuttlers to have won medals at World Championships

Indian shuttler H S Prannoy stunned defending champion and world No. 1 Viktor Axelsen to enter the semifinals of the BWF World Championships and thereby ensure the nation a medal.

The 31-yer-old Keralite will take on Thailand's world No. 3 Kunlavut Vitidsarn for a place in the final.

Kidambi Srikanth is the lone India to enter the men's singles final at the Worlds. No Indian male has won the competition so far.

P V Sindhu is the only Indian to have won the world title. Sindhu achieved the feat in 2019.

Sindhu is the most successful Indian player at the World Championships, having won five medals - one gold, two silver and two bronze medals.
