Neeraj Chopra has shared a video collage featuring his performances and those of legendary Javelin thrower Jan Zelezny, with whom he started working recently.
Chopra shared the collage posted by Olympic Khel, the official Indian account for the Olympics. The 20-second video reflects Chopra's admiration for the World Record holder, whose intervention is expected to help the Indian star breach the 90-metre mark.

Chopra won gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and silver at the 2024 Paris Games. He was trained by German biomechanics expert Dr Klaus Bartonietz, who retired last year.
Under Bartonietz, Chopra threw above 89 metres thrice, with a personal best of 89.94 metres, set at the Stockholm Diamond League in 2022. But he could not break into the 90-metre zone, a feat he aims to achieve by training under Czech great Zelezny, who holds the world record of 98.48 metres set in 1996.
In 2017, before he became an Olympic champion, Chopra shared his delight of meeting Zelezny. "Mere favourite thrower hai (my favourite thrower)," he posted. Chopra has famously said he learned javelin by watching videos of Zelezny.
Chopra began training with Zelezny recently and the outcome of the training programme could be witnessed during the Doha Diamond League in May, which is expected to be the Indian's first big event this year.
