India's rising javelin throwers Sachin Yadav, Rohit Yadav and Sahil Silwal have been included in the Neeraj Chopra Classic to be Bengaluru on May 24. The trio will join India's double Olympic medallist Chopra and a host of leading international throwers in the event that has been given the A Category status by World Athletics.

"India, here’s your homegrown contingent for the NC Classic 2025," said the event's official X handle on Tuesday. Announcing the event last week, Chopra said the event in his name would feature 3-4 Indians, and with the confirmation of the trio, the Olympic hero delivered on his promise.

Among the three, Sachin, aged 25, has a personal best of 84.39 m. He recently won gold in the Federation Cup held in Kochi. Rohit, 23, has a personal best of 83.40m, while Sahil, 24, recorded 81.81 m last year.

Two-time world champion Anderson Peters (PB: 93.07m) of Grenada, 2016 Olympics gold winner Thomas Rohler (PB: 93.90m) of Germany, 2015 world champion Julius Yego (92.72m) of Kenya, American Curtis Thompson (current season leader with 87.76m), Asian Games bronze medallist Genki Dean (PB: 84.28m) of Japan, Rumesh Pathirage (PB: 85.45m) of Sri Lanka, Luiz Mauricio da Silva (PB: 85.91m) of Brazil are the international stars who will be in action at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium.

Chopra had invited Pakistan's Olympic champion Arshad Nadeem to the event, but he declined due to his prepartion for the Asian Championships.
