Union Minister Ajay Mishra has been accused of criminal conspiracy by farmers and his son has been arrested after being booked for killing four farmers and a journalist.
The police remand was granted with the condition that Ashish Mishra will not be harassed and his lawyer will remain present during interrogation.
Mishra was arrested at 10.50 pm on Saturday and sent to the Lakhimpur jail around 1 am on Sunday after 12 hours of questioning.
