The first phase of the state government's ambitious Endosulfan Rehabilitation Village is now complete. The first phase encompasses a clinical psychology block and a consultation & hydrotherapy block. The construction of the first phase commenced on May 25, 2022. The completion cost of the first phase was Rs 4.17 crore.
The recent protest in Thottappally a small coastal village in the Alappuzha district of Kerala, against sand mining, makes it clear that we are far from sustainable sand mining.
