The Indian Railways rolled out a special Vande Bharat train for Delhi Capitals and staff and crew of the IPL.
BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar said this in a Facebook post.
The 16-coach train withdrawn from the Nagercoil—Chennai route has been allotted to the Palakkad division.
Madhavan’s post highlighted a perceived bias in Vande Bharat's catering policy, arguing that the menu does not reflect the country's culinary varieties.
Various associations of rail passengers have already raised their voices against this and claim that Palaruvi’s schedule has been changed to accommodate the Vande Bharat Express.
The train has around 16 air-conditioned coaches, including two executive coaches, to accommodate around 1,128 passengers.
The Railways take such incidents seriously as hefty sums are being spent to replace the glasses or repair the damage.
Around 40,000 conventional rail coaches will be converted to Vande Bharat standard.
The train is expected to depart SVDK at 8.10 am and reach Srinagar at 11.20 am.
A new Kashmir-special Vande Bharat sleeper will be inaugurated on January 26.
