Kalyan MLA Ganpat Gaikwad of BJP opened fire on Mahesh Gaikwad, the Shiv Sena chief of Kalyan, inside the chamber of the senior inspector of Hill Line police station.
It was a courtesy call as they had worked with Thackeray as part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition government, said Congress leader Nitin Raut.
