Kumarakom on the banks of the Vembanad Lake in Kerala is among the most beautiful places on Earth and the refreshing greenery, houseboats and migratory birds make it a top holiday destination.
Though not a very popular tourist spot among Keralites, Kumarakom attracts numerous travellers from other parts of India as well as abroad, including celebrities. This New Year, the destination hosted the bubbly actress Nazriya Nazim, her husband actor Fahadh Faasil, Fahadh's brother Farhaan and their friends.
Soon after the celebrations, Nazriya and others shared pictures of the fun-filled time they spent at Zuri, a five-star luxury resort in Kumarakom. Among the most liked photos shows Nazriya and Farhaan in red T-shirts and masks. Other pictures have Nazriya and Fahadh in various poses.
Along with one photo, Farhaan has commented that 'we really need to grow up,' to which Nazriya has shot back, 'I don't think it will happen in 2020.'
Zuri resort offers a luxurious stay with private pools, spas, picturesque views of the backwaters and top-class facilities. The daily tariff is upwards of Rs 20,000. Visitors to Kumarakom can also experience the Pathiramanal Island which is home to a variety of migratory birds, charming waterfalls and boat trips along the backwaters.
