Amala says that Panchakarma treatment was, "a complete transformation, a story of purging and revival." She also realized that "it takes immense self-control and strength to go through the process. I am amazed by things the mind is capable of doing."

Rajah Island

Amala has posted the photo from Rajah Island, a Panchakarma treatment centre at Chettuva, near Thrissur in Kerala. A holistic wellness centre, Rajah Island is a good option for people eager to undergo Ayurveda treatment close to nature.

Rajah Island, in fact, comprises three islands in the backwaters. The main island has an area of 14 acres houses the suite, deluxe and double rooms, and multi-cuisine restaurants. Consultancy rooms, pharmacy, conference hall, prayer rooms, walkways, children’s play area, and boat landings are also arranged here.

The main island and the second island are connected by a bridge. A picturesque place spreading across five acres, the second island has a small treatment cottage. The houseboats also are anchored there.

At Rajah Island, all accommodation facilities as well as the treatment rooms face the backwaters, soothing the mind and body.

Meanwhile, the third island is located some distance away from the other two and the entire 30-acre space is retained as such. Rajah Island is 72 km from Cochin International Airport.
