Actor Mohanlal and his son Pranav are both renowned hodophiles. The Malaikottai Valiban star recently shared a photo with two friends, in the backdrop of the Pyramid of the Sun at Mexico's San Juan Teotihuacan. The UNESCO World Heritage site near Mexico City is a pre-Columbian city known for its impressive culture and architecture. Many 'Lalettan fans' commented on the photo asking whether the actor is in the location for the shoot of Prithviraj's next film 'Empuraan.' Some of them also checked whether the team is in the spot to expand the 'Qureshi verse,' referring to his character in 'Empuraan' sequel 'Lucifer.'

The Pyramid of the Sun, a massive, stepped structure, has a central staircase that leads to the top. As per recent reports, visitors aren't allowed to climb it much fearing whether the ancient structure will get damaged. In the past, it used to provide breathtaking views of the main thoroughfare of the area called 'Avenue of the Dead.'

The location also has a temple of the feathered serpent called Quetzalcoatl, the palace of jaguars, a museum that helps you learn more about Teotihuacan, and more. Meanwhile, Teotihuacan also has a Pyramid of Mood, which is located at the northern end of the Avenue of the Dead. The region is believed to have reached its peak between 150 BCE and 450 CE. Though a lot of research is going into understanding the origins, language, and reasons for the decline of Teotihuacan, it is still considered a mysterious place, just like Mohanlal's character in 'Empuraan.' UNESCO termed Teotihuacan a World Heritage site in 1987.
