Shantilal S Mithaiwala
Started in 1953, this shop is more of a cultural, emotional and historically significant sweet shop. It is run by Gujaratis and during the festive seasons, especially during Navratri and Deepavali, they come out with unique sweets. Don't leave the place without having milk cake and milk burfy. But that said, you have to try out their Kachori jaleby, mothichoor laddoo and gaatiya too.

Saravana Bhavan
Situated near the High Court, Saravana Bhavan is an old favorite. Stop by for the milk halwa. You will not regret it.
Sree Krishna Sweets
The ghee Mysore pa at Sree Krishna Sweets was a sweet revolution they brought about. Stop by for the big laddoo – the ones they call the Tirupati Laddoo. You will not be hungry. The shop is near Jos Junction.
Annapurna Sweets
Annapurna Sweets at Kadavanthara has its roots in Mattancherry. Check out the dhoklas and the pedas. They are really nice.
Bikash Babu Sweets
This is perhaps the costliest shop in this list. But, the rasgullas, the rasmalai, mango lassi and malai chom choms will ensure that you don't mind spending for these sweets. The shop is at Kadavanthara.
