Mission coordinator K Rupesh Kumar delivered the key note address at the event. The package includes an 8 kilometre boat ride from Ezhumanthuruthu to Thannermukkam bund and back via Chettimangalam. This package costs Rs 5000 for an entire day and Rs 3500 for a half day trip. Up to 18 tourists can be accommodated in the boat. The visitors could also enjoy mouth watering delicacies from the various food outlets that are run by women. More than 30 units that are registered under the Mission will be operating in the region. Moreover, the mission has released videos that explain the unique features of Ezhumanthuruthu, in multiple languages, to attract tourists.

Exotic shikari boat rides
A ride in the shikari boat would take you to the serene inland waters. You could spot unique avian species and mangrove varieties here. The visitors could even try their hands in toddy tapping, braiding roofing sheets with coconut leaves and fishing too. Moreover, there are countless eateries that serve local cuisine. The project envisions welcoming the tourists who arrive at Kumarakam to enjoy the scenic beauty of Ezhumanthuruthu and Mundar.

The tourism department has opened boat jettys at Kantarikadavu and Ezhumanthuruthu in order to develop the tourism scope of the region. These jettys are rented out by the tourism department.

Lots of tourists arrive every day to visit Ezhumanthuruthu and Mundar. The Mundar region that is surrounded by water on all sides too is incredibly beautiful. Mundar is also home to rare species of birds and flora.
