Love Munnar and its ever-changing flower blooms? After the jacaranda season, it’s now revelling in the ‘Easter lily’ season at the hill station. That’s not all. The ‘Kashmir of Kerala’ will soon enjoy 400 varieties of plants, flowers and more, including imported foreign varieties and cultural shows at the fourth edition of the Munnar Flower Show. The event, organised by the District Tourism Promotion Council, will be held from May 1 to 10. Its venue is DTPC’s Govt Botanical Garden at Devikulam Road.

Besides the flower species indigenous to Munnar, many special additions will be displayed this year. This time, the show's highlights are azaleas, rose varieties, orchids, and anthuriums imported from foreign countries. There are more than one lakh plants in the botanical garden. Cultural events have been scheduled on all days from 6 pm to 9 pm. A mini riverside beach, musical fountain, selfie points, various stalls, food stalls, and decorative lighting will make the venue a perfect spot for an outing. The ticket fares are Rs 100 for adults and Rs 50 for children. The exhibition is from 9 am to 9 pm.
