Munnar: Tourists have been flocking to Meesapulimala to see the Love Lake, a natural lake shaped like a heart. The mesmerising Love Lake, often shrouded in mist, is on the eight-kilometre-long trekking path that begins from Rodo Mansion. Love Lake, crafted by nature, is nestled amid lush meadows in the valley. The clear waters in the lake reflect the splendid blue of the clear summer sky. Now, Love Lake has become a resting point for the trekkers to Meesapulimala.
Meesapulimala, the second-highest peak of the Western Ghats, is situated 2640 metres above sea level. Meanwhile, Meesapulimala is 31 kilometres away from Munnar. Trekking trips are arranged by the Kerala Forest Development Corporation (KFDC), which comes under the forest department.
