Munnar: The District Tourism Promotion Council has opened a super reality dome theatre to entertain tourists who visit Munnar. The 360-degree super reality dome is at the government botanical garden in Devikulam. A dome theatre offers an unparalleled 360-degree cinematic experience, and the visuals can be enjoyed without the need for 3D glasses. The dome at Munnar can accommodate up to 30 viewers at a time. DTPC built the theatre in association with the private entity Ageless Entertainment by spending Rs 80 lakh. The authorities stated that the theatre would be open to the public soon.

Meanwhile, the construction of the glass watchtower in the botanical garden is almost complete. It is expected to offer a stunning panoramic view to the visitors. The glass tower is a first in the region and will feature a glass floor, similar to Vagamon’s renowned cantilever bridge. It is constructed on a whopping budget of Rs 2 crore. Its 34-metre walkway will lead to the watch tower built at a height of 300 metres. Up to 30 visitors are expected to be able to enter the watchtower simultaneously.
