A group of youngsters in Marianad, in Kadinamkulam near Thiruvananthapuram, have created a model of the iconic Eiffel Tower along with the Christmas crib on their coast. Just recently, Kerala Tourism's official Instagram page also shared the decorations as a festival special. If you are on the lookout for interesting spots to visit and enjoy Kerala's Christmas sparkles this year, you can consider adding Marianand to your itinerary. Here's everything you need to know.

What to see in Marianad beach?
The 30-foot-tall Eiffel Tower, a beautiful crib, and many other decorations on the beach. Earlier, the tower was erected in the sea, with huge drums and steel rods as its base. However, due to strong winds, the tower has been brought to the beach. The decorators have also decided to change the tower's colour from green to warm yellow. The tower has been decorated with colourful electric illuminations, adding a touch of Christmas glory. "As the tower is at the beach now, visitors will get to check out the tower better and also click pictures with it," says Libin, who is part of the decor team.

Best time to enjoy the installations
People can watch the installation from 6.30 pm to 5.30 am every day until New Year’s Day.

The team behind it
Youngsters of the Marianad Machans Club deserve the credit for creating the artistic installation at the beach. Apparently, it took them more than two and a half months to design and build the tower and the crib in the sea. Besides, they managed to raise Rs 3 lakh for meeting the expenses. The wholehearted support and contributions of the Marianad church, various clubs like Guns&Roses, HUFC, Titanic family group, boat owners and the people of the locality helped the youngsters create the tower and the crib during the Christmas season. Hundreds of people swarm the beach in the evenings to see this beautiful visual treat and take part in the festivities.
