Thiruvananthapuram: The state tourism department has kick-started the second edition of the Kerala Blog Express with a view to attract tourists from all over the world and promote God's Own Country as a tourist destination globally. The second season has begun by welcoming blogs from famous travel bloggers around the world depicting Kerala in order to attract more tourists to the state. The Blog Express was flagged off by Minister for Health, Family Welfare and Devaswom, V S Sivakumar from the capital city today. Twenty eight foreigners and two Indians will be visiting the famous tourist spots in Kerala for two weeks. These 30 bloggers were selected from an online voting in which 700 bloggers had participated. Nearly, two million users visited the blogs about the state as part of Blog Express Season 1. Additional Director of Tourism T. V. Anupama said that the blogs written last time were read by even Latin American users, who do not have much of a knowledge about Kerala. The government has tied up with private companies to enable these bloggers to travel around and visit exotic locales. They will be travelling in a bus christened Kerala Blog Express.
