Now your vacation in Kumarakom can only get extra special with the reopening of ‘Waterscape’, a premium backwater resort run by Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC). The resort, which was closed for renovation, was thrown open to guests on February 6 after a gap of four years. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the refurbished retreat in a virtual function which was presided over by state Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran. The resort, which has facilities akin to that of 5-star hotels, was revamped at a cost of Rs 15 crore.
