Thiruvananthapuram: The Railway authorities have rescheduled some trains considering the track maintenance currently taken up by the Chennai division. Under the new schedule, Train no: 07229 Thiruvananthapuram – Secunderabad Sabari Express will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 10 am on October 16, 19, 21, 23, 26, 28 and 30 and November 3, 6, 10 and 13.
Similarly, the KSR Bengaluru – Kanyakumari Island Express would depart from Bengaluru at 9.10 pm instead of 8.10 pm on November 3, 6, 10 and 13.
Special services extended
Meanwhile, the Railway has extended the services of 10 fully-reserved special trains. The trains and the date up to which the services have been extended are:

Puja special trains
The Southern Railway has also announced reserved special trains in view of the ‘puja’ and Deepavali festivals. The timings of two of these services are:
06004 Tambaram – Nagercoil Super Fast Express will depart from Tambaram at 9.40 pm on October 13 and November 3 and arrive at Nagercoil by 9.30 am the next day
06003 Nagercoil – Tambaram Super Fast Express is scheduled to leave Nagercoil at 4.15 pm on October 17 and November 7. It will reach Tambaram at 4.10 am the next day
These services would have stops at Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Tiruchirappalli, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudunagar, Kovilpetty and Tirunelveli. The rake of these trains would comprise three third AC, eight second class sleeper and four second class general (reserved coaches).
