Railways cancels four trains on Thiruvananthapuram-Nagercoil route on Monday

Thiruvananthapuram: Four trains that run on the Thiruvananthapuram – Nagercoil route have been cancelled on Monday, November 22. They are, train number 06425 Kollam – Thiruvananthapuram Express; 06426 Nagercoil – Thiruvananthapuram Express; 06427 Thiruvananthapuram – Nagercoil Express and 06435 Thiruvananthapuram – Nagercoil Express. Another 17 trains have also been partially cancelled on this section.

Andhra floods
Earlier, the Railways had announced the cancellation of nine long-distance trains passing through Kerala in view of the heavy rains and floods in Vijayawada division of Andhra. They include Thiruvananthapuram – New Delhi Kerala Express; Shalimar Express; Alappuzha – Dhanbad – Bokaro Express; Nagercoil – Mumbai Biweekly Express; Kochuveli – Gorakhpur Raptisagar Express; Thiruvananthapuram – Secunderabad Sabari Express; Ernakulam – Tata Nagar Express and Tirunelveli – Bilaspur Weekly Superfast. Meanwhile, the Dhanbad – Alappuzha Express has been partially cancelled with the daily train that started from Dhanbad on Friday terminating its journey at Rourkela.

These trains were cancelled as several railway stations and tracks are inundated in Vijayawada and Guntakkal divisions.
