With Qatar all set to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the Qetaifan Island North in Lusail City will become the fan zone for the football enthusiasts arriving for the grand event.

The Qetaifan Island North, a grand real estate project that is being developed, is expecting to host 15,000 football fans. There will be 4,000 different types of tents, including a VIP tent.

Areas for entertainment and food and beverage outlets will also be active, said Mustafa Al Cherkawi, construction engineer for the Qetaifan project. The Qetaifan Fan Zone is just two and a half kilometers from Lucille Stadium, the venue of the World Cup final.

There will also be travel facilities to the football fan zone from World Cup stadiums across the country. The first phase of construction on Qetaifan Island North is on the expressway. Construction will be completed in November and will be open to the public.
