Four trains diverted from Kottayam to Alappuzha route today

Thiruvananthapuram: Some popular long-distance trains passing through Kottayam will be diverted along the Alappuzha route on Wednesday.

The trains are:

• No: 17230 Secunderabad-Thiruvananthapuram Central Sabari Express

• No: 16649 Mangaluru Central-Nagercoil Parasuram Express

• No: 16382 Kanyakumari-Pune Express

• No: 12625 Thiruvananthapuram-New Delhi Kerala Superfast Express.

On the Alappuzha route, these trains will have stops at Ernakulam Junction, Cherthala, Alappuzha, Ambalappuzha and Haripad.

According to a press release from the Railways, the diversion was announced in view of the maintenance work on a railway over-bridge on the Kottayam-Ettumanur track.
