Monsoon schedule on Konkan route from Friday to Oct 31; new departure times announced

Thiruvananthapuram: The monsoon timetable comes into effect on the Konkan Railway route from Friday (June 10) and will be force till October 31. Several trains on the route would be running an additional time of up to two-and-a-half hours after the monsoon schedule is implemented.

The following are the new departure times of the major trains starting services from Kerala and also passing through the state:

Train number 12617 Ernakulam-Hazrat Nizamuddin Mangala Lakshadweep Express (Daily) will leave Ernakulam Junction at 10.40 am instead of 1.25 pm.

12431 Thiruvananthapuram-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express would start from Thiruvananthapuram Central at 2.30 pm instead of 7.15 pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

22653 Thiruvananthapuram Central-Hazrat Nizamuddin Weekly Express will start the trip from Thiruvananathapuram at 10 pm on Friday, in place of 12.30 am on Saturday.

12977 Ernakulam-Ajmer Marusagar Weekly Express to depart from Ernakulam Junction at 6.50 pm on Sunday instead of 9.25 pm.

19577 Tirunelveli-Jamnagar Express will start journey from Tirunelveli at 5.15 am on Monday and Tuesday, while the earlier time was 8 am.

22659 Kochuveli-Rishikesh Weekly Express to depart from Kochuveli at 4.50 am on Friday instead of 9.10 am.

Kochuveli-Lokmanya Tilak Garib Rath to leave Kochuveli at 7.45 am on Thursday and Sunday in place of 8.45 am.

At the same time, there is no change in the departure time of Thiruvananthapuram-Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Netravati Express. The daily train will continue to leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 9.15 am, said the railway authorities.
