Heavy rains in Kerala: One train cancelled, three services delayed

Several trains conducting services in Kerala have either been cancelled or delayed following the heavy rains and damage caused to the signalling system.

Cancelled train
Train number 06450 scheduled to leave Kayamkulam at 8.50 am on Wednesday, August 31 has been cancelled. It is an unreserved express service to Ernakulam along the Alappuzha route.

Delayed services
The Ernad Express, Raptisagar Superfast Express and Bilaspur Superfast Express are running late on Wednesday.
No: 16606 Nagercoil-Mangaluru Ernad Express scheduled to start from Nagercoil at 2 am is delayed by one hour.

Meanwhile, the Kochuveli – Gorakhpur Raptisagar Superfast Express (no: 12512) will be departing from Kochuveli on Wednesday only at 12.45 pm, instead of the scheduled time of 6.35 am. (Delay of six hours, 10 minutes).

Another train to run late is no: 22816 Ernakulam – Bilaspur Superfast Express. Its departure time has been delayed by two hours and 45 minutes. Instead of 8.30 am, the new departure time from Ernakulam is 11.15 am.
