Taking into account the number of travellers to Bengaluru, Southern Railway is launching a special Sunday train service to the city. The Kochuveli - Bengaluru SMVT Special (06211) will depart from Kochuveli at 5 pm and reach Bengaluru the next day, at 10 am. The booking for the service has begun.

The return train (06212) will depart from Benguluru on Monday at 1pm and reach Kochuveli the next day at 6.50 am.

The train will have second A/C-2, third A/C-6, sleeper-6 and general second-3 coaches. Its stops are Kollam, Kayamkulam, Mavelikkara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanacherry, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Selam, Dharmapuri and Hosur.

As for the Kochuveli-Mangalore unreserved special (06649) train via Alappuzha, it will depart on Mondays at 9.25 pm from Kochuveli and reach Mangalore at 9.15 am the next day. Its stops are Kollam, Kayamkulam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Shoranur, Tirur, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod.

The return train (06650) will be on Tuesdays at 9.10 pm from Mangalure and reach Kochuveli at 8 am on Wednesdays.
