Palaruvi Express to get new stop at Thenmala

Kollam: The Palaruvi Express (16791/16792) would soon get a stop at Thenmala while the Chennai – Egmore – Guruvayur – Chennai Express (16128/16127) has been allowed a stop Paravoor.

Parliamentarian N K Premachandran recently said that he submitted representations to the railway minister and the concerned authorities asking to allow new stops for these trains.

The decision to allow the stops were taken at a discussion held between the MP and the railway authorities. The MP said that the railway authorities had promised to restore the stops that were disallowed during the pandemic outbreak and the orders regarding this would be issued soon.

The Palakkad – Thirunelveli Palaruvi Daily Express was allowed an additional stop at Kundara from July 18, this year. Similarly, The Tirunelveli – Palakkad Palaruvi Express got an additional stop at Pavoorchatram from July 19.
