Vande Bharat to Varanasi soon, inauguration likely during Durga puja

The Indian Railways have announced the launch of a new Vande Bharat train to the pilgrimage destination of Varanasi soon, from Tatanagar in Jamshedpur. It has not revealed the date of the inauguration, but the train should reportedly be launched around Durga puja. The train, which will have eight coaches and will run six days a week, will start at 6 am from Tatanagar and will reach Varanasi by 1.50 pm. On the return leg, it will leave Varanasi at 2.35 pm and reach Jameshdpur at 10 pm.

It will cover 574 km in the route, which will take around 8 hours. Purulia station, Bokaro Steel City station, Gaya junction and Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya station are the stops of the express. Yet another announcement of launching a VBE between Lucknow and Dehradun was also made, recently. It will be from Lucknow Junction Railway Station to Dehradun in the morning and will return at night.

The details and fare of the train are expected to be out by Navaratri, though it is expected to be between Rs 1200 and Rs 1800. This is also a train with eight coaches. The Railways had also extended the route of the Indore-Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat express recently, following increasing public demand.
