Air India Express launches Vista VIP Class for flyers; will expand operations to South East Asia

Air India Express has introduced the Vista VIP Class, offering additional amenities, including wider seats and more legroom on routes operated using its new Boeing 737-8 aircraft. `The Vista VIP Class boasts features that enhance the comfort of guests. Along with extra legroom and spacious seats, passengers booking seats in the Vista VIP Class can carry up to 40 kg of baggage on international flights and 25 kg on domestic flights. They will be served delicious gourmet hot meals and provided with Express Ahead priority services as part of the package.

The Vista VIP Class is now available for booking on Air India Express’ mobile app, website, and other major booking channels. Additionally, passengers booking in other classes have the option to upgrade to Vista VIP Class through the call centre, at the airport, or after boarding the flight by paying an upgrade fee. Air India Express, with a fleet of 57 aircraft, including 29 Boeing 737s and 28 Airbus A320s, operates more than 300 daily flights to 30 domestic and 14 international destinations. The airline recently unveiled its revamped brand identity. It offers a variety of gourmet meals, comfortable seats, the AirFlix in-flight experience hub, and exclusive loyalty benefits.

Operations to be expanded to Southeast Asia
The airline is also planning to expand its international destinations to Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Bangladesh and Nepal. This is after the airline recently received a new aircraft, Boeing 737-8 Max aircraft, that has endurance to reach these countries. It takes the total fleet size to 57. AIE will be inducting 50 new aircrafts in the next 15 months and aims to grow its fleet to 170 in 5 years. Air India will also soon merge with AiX Connect (AirAsia India).
