Railways announces major regulation of train services in Kerala from Jan 6 to 31

Kannur: The Railways has announced a major regulation of train services plying through the state from January 6 to 31 owing to track maintenance at various locations under the Thiruvananthapuram division.

The following train services will be regulated:
Mangalore Central - Thiruvananthapuram Central Express (Train No. 16348), scheduled to ply from Mangaluru on January 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 28 and 31 will be regulated by an hour. The services on January 15, 16 and 25 will be regulated by 30 minutes.

Dhanbad Junction - Alappuzha Express (Train No. 13351), scheduled to commence service from Dhanbad Junction on January 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 will be regulated by an hour.

Hazrat Nizamuddin Junction - Thiruvananthapuram Central Weekly Superfast Express (Train No. 22654), will be regulated by 30 minutes on January 8 and by one hour on January 15.

Thiruvananthapuram Central - Hazrat Nizamuddin Jn. Weekly Superfast Express (Train No. 22653), scheduled to start from Thiruvananthapuram Central on January 27 will be regulated by 30 minutes.

Hazrat Nizamuddin Junction – Ernakulam Junction Weekly Superfast Express (Train No. 22656), scheduled to begin from Hazrat Nizamuddin Junction on January 5, 12 and 19 will be regulated by 50 minutes.

Bhavnagar Terminus - Kochuveli Weekly Express (Train No. 19260 ), scheduled to commence from Bhavnagar Terminus station on January 9, 16 and 30 will be regulated by 1.10 hours.

Veraval - Thiruvananthapuram Central Weekly Express (Train No. 16333), scheduled to begin service from Veraval station on January 11 and 18 will be regulated by 1.10 hours.

Gandhidham – Nagercoil Junction Weekly Express (Train No. 16335), scheduled to commence service from Gandhidham station on January 12 and 19 will be regulated by 1.10 hours.

Okha – Ernakulam Junction Bi-Weekly Express (Train No. 16337), scheduled to begin service from Okha on January 15, 20 and 27 will be regulated by an hour.

Kochuveli – Lokmanyatilak Terminus Bi-Weekly Superfast Express (Train No. 22114), scheduled to begin from Kochuveli station on January 8 and 18 will be regulated by 40 minutes.

Ernakulam Junction – Pune Junction. Bi-Weekly Superfast Express (Train No. 22149), scheduled to commence service from Ernakulam Junction on January 12 and 26 will be regulated by 40 minutes.

Ernakulam Junction - Hazrat Nizamuddin Junction Weekly Superfast Express (Train No. 22655), scheduled to commence service from Ernakulam Junction on January 17, will be regulated by 40 minutes.

Diversion of train routes
Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Thiruvananthapuram Central Netravathi Express
(Train No. 16345), scheduled to run on January 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, will be diverted via Kottayam from Ernakulam Town station, skipping Ernakulam Junction, Cherthala, Alappuzha, Ambalapuzha and Haripad. However, the train will have stops at Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Changanassery, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Mavelikkara stations.

Thiruvananthapuram Central - Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Netravathi Express (Train No. 16346), scheduled to run on January 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13, will be diverted via Kottayam from Kayankulam Junction, skipping Haripad, Ambalapuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala and Ernakulam Junction. The train will, however, stop at Mavelikkara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanassery, Kottayam and Ernakulam Town stations.

Kochuveli - Porbandar Weekly Superfast Express (Train No. 20909), scheduled to run on January 7, will be diverted via Kottayam from Kayamkulam Junction, skipping Alappuzha and Ernakulam Junction stations. The train will instead stop at Kottayam and Ernakulam Town stations.

Tirunelveli Junction - Jamnagar Bi-Weekly Express (Train No. 19577), scheduled to run on January 8 and 9, will be diverted via Kottayam from Kayamkulam Junction station, skipping Alappuzha and Ernakulam Junction. The train will instead stop at Kottayam and Ernakulam Town stations.

Tirunelveli Junction - Gandhidham Weekly Humsafar Superfast Express (Train No. 20923), scheduled to run on January 11, will be diverted via Kottayam from Kayamkulam Junction, skipping Ernakulam Junction and instead stopping at Ernakulam Town station.

Kochuveli – Indore Junction Weekly Superfast Express (Train No. 20931), scheduled to run on January 12, will be diverted via Kottayam from Kayamkulam Junction, skipping Alappuzha and Ernakulam Junction stations and stopping at Kottayam and Ernakulam town stations.

Mangaluru Central – Thiruvananthapuram Central Express (Train No. 16348), scheduled to run on January 22, will be diverted via Alappuzha from Ernakulam Town station, skipping Kottayam and Chengannur. The train will have stoppages at Cherthala and Alappuzha stations.

Nilambur Road – Kochuveli Rajarani Express (Train No. 16350), scheduled to run on January 22, will be diverted via Alappuzha from Ernakulam Town station, skipping Kottayam, Changanassery and Chengannur. The train will stop at Cherthala and Alappuzha stations instead.
