Special train for Pongala?
Malayali rail travellers are hopeful that the Railways will announce a special train for the annual Attukal Pongala festival, which is on March 13. Although a special train was scheduled from Bayyapanahalli to Thiruvananthapuram North (Kochuveli) last year, it ran with empty seats. Passengers then pointed out unscientific scheduling as the reason there weren’t many takers for the special train announced at the last minute.
