Foreign tourists visiting Kerala can book seats at a special pavilion built for them to watch the Thrissur Pooram festival proceedings. The pooram will be held on May 6, Tuesday. The foreigners' gallery will be near the 'thekke gopuram' (southern tower) of the Vadakkunnathan Temple, where the festival will be held. The festival's popular 'kudamattam' ceremony can also be easily enjoyed from here. As of now, the construction of the pavilion is progressing and authorities said it should be able to accommodate around 120 seats. Here's how the seats can be booked:

1) Visit the Thrissur DTPC office at Palace Road, Thrissur. Tourists can also contact the DTPC Secretary at 9496361440 or 0487 232 0800 to make bookings.
2) Produce your passport, visa and other supporting documents required to book seats.
3) They will have entry into the pavilion from 12 noon.
4) The tickets are free of cost.
4) Refreshments or other facilities will not be offered at the pavilion.
