Taking into account the increasing number of pilgrims, a special train has been introduced from Ernakulam to Velankanni. The service is in the Kollam, Chenkotta route. The train (06061), which leaves at 11.30 pm from Ernakulam on Wednesdays, will reach Velankanni at 3.30 pm. The return train (06062) will leave at 6.40 pm on Fridays from Velankanni and reach Ernakulam at 11.55 am.

The stops in Kerala are as follows:
Kottayam, Changanassery, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikkara, Kayamkulam, Karunagappally, Sasthamkotta, Kollam, Kundara, Kottarakkara, Avaneeswaram, Punalur and Thenmala. The reservation will begin at 8 am on May 9.
