Following Operation Sindoor, many restrictions continue to be in place at India's airports and airspace. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security has instructed all domestic passengers to reach airports three hours before their departure and international flyers five hours in advance, to ensure smooth check-in and boarding. There will be a newly introduced secondary ladder point check, which is the process of checking luggage just before boarding. Check-in will close 75 minutes before flight departure. Also, 24 airports continue to stay closed across northern, western, and central India, which has cancelled over 430 flights.

The newly closed airports are the Kulu Manali, Kishangarh and Ludhiana airports. Currently, the airports that are closed are Chandigarh, Srinagar, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Bhuntar, Kishngarh, Patiala, Shimla, Kangra - Gaggal, Bhatinda, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Halwara, Pathankot, Jammu, Leh, Mundra, Jamnagar, Hirasa, Porbandar, Keshod, Kandla and Bhuj.

Flights from a handful of South Indian airports are also affected:
Chennai: Five departures and arrivals are cancelled. The departures cancelled are those to Mumbai, Hindon, Chandigarh and Shimoga.
Mumbai: 29 services, including those to Amritsar, Chandigarh, and Srinagar, have been cancelled.
Delhi: Certain flights are affected due to a change in airspace conditions and security
