The new 'Ordinary' isn't that ordinary, according to the fans of Kerala's KSRTC. The latest set of Ordinary buses, with a distinct body design, has started arriving, wrote Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar on his social media page, recently, sharing the photos of the swanky buses on Kerala roads. A few months ago, when the design was first out, social media had a mixed reaction to it. Now, the responses to the minister's post are more on the positive side.

The new buses are built on Tata Chassis with the Automobile Corporation of Goa Ltd handling their construction. The minister said that the buses will be flagged off on August 21 at Anayara in Thiruvananthapuram. They will also be part of the Transpo Expo at Kanakakkunnu from August 22 to 24. The new buses will provide services on rural routes, as well as on long-distance stretches of the state. The red-and-white buses also have LED destination boards at the rear and the front.
