Train traffic will be regulated between Chengannur and Mavelikkara from November 22(Friday) onwards, as a bridge is being renovated here. The Kollam–Ernakulam scheduled to depart at 9.05 pm on November 22 has been cancelled. Meanwhile, some trains will end their journey midway. Madurai – Guruvayoor Express will end its trip at Kollam on November 22, while the Guruvayoor – Madurai Express will start the return trip from Kollam the next day.
Kayamkulam will be the last stop for the Nagercoil–Kottayam Express on November 22. The Chennai–Thiruvananthapuram Super, which starts at 3.20 pm on November 21, ends the trip at Kottayam on November 22. The Thiruvananthapuram–Chennai Super, scheduled to start at 5.15 pm from Thiruvananthapuram on November 22, will instead begin from Kottayam at 8.05 pm.
Rerouting via Alappuzha on November 22
Thiruvananthapuram – Chennai Mail, Thiruvananthapuram – Sri Ganganagar Weekly, Thiruvananthapuram North – Bengaluru Humsafar, Thiruvananthapuram – Mangaluru Malabar, Kanyakumari – Dibrugarh Vivek Express, Thiruvananthapuram – Rameshwaram Amrita Express, Thiruvananthapuram North – Nilambur Rajyarani and Thiruvananthapuram – Mangaluru Express will be rerouted via Alappuzha on November 22.
Delayed trains
Kollam – Ernakulam MEMU that starts at 4.20 am on November 23, Thoothukudi – Palakkad Palaruvi Express that begins at night on November 22 and reaches Kerala on the next day and Thiruvananthapuram – Ernakulam Vanchinad Express scheduled on November 22 will be delayed by 30 minutes.
