Thiruvananthapuram: The special trains announced by the railway ahead of the Christmas–New Year festive season have been extended to January. Hubballi – Kollam – Hubballi special train (07313/14) will run until January 26, while the SMVT Bengaluru – Thiruvananthapuram North – Bengaluru special (06523/24) has been extended until January 27. SMVT Bengaluru – Thiruvananthapuram North – Bengaluru (06547/48) is extended up to January 30, and the SMVT Bengaluru – Thiruvananthapuram North- Bengaluru (06555/56) will run service up to February 2. Earlier, these trains were announced up to the end of December. 

Vadodara – Kottayam Christmas special
Vadodara – Kottayam Christmas special train (09124) starts at 9.05 am on December 20, 27 and January 3, 10, 2026 (Saturdays) and reaches Kottayam at 7 the following evening. Meanwhile, the return service (09123) starts at 9 pm on December 21 and 28, and on January 4 and 11, 2026 (Sundays), and reaches Vadodara by 6 am Tuesdays.

This train has a first AC compartment, two second AC compartments, six third AC compartments, six sleeper coaches, and five general compartments. The main stops are Ernakulam, Aluva, Thrissur, Shoranur, Tirur, Kozhikode, Thalassery, Kannur, Kasargod, Mangaluru, Thokkur, Udupi, Mokkambika Road, Murudeshwar, Karwar, Madgaon, Ratnagiri, Panvel, Vasai Road, Vapi, and Surat.
