Good news for rail passengers! Guruvayoor Express (16127), Mangaluru Central Express (16159) and Kollam Express (16102) will get faster from today. The Southern Railway stated that the speed of 22 trains from Chennai, including these, would increase, saving 5-85 minutes in running time. The revised schedule will be implemented from today. 

The train departing from Kollam at 4 pm will have the maximum time advantage. The train that used to reach Thambaram at 7.30 am will arrive at 6.05 am from today. Meanwhile, the Guruvayoor Express from Egmore will start at 10.40 pm instead of 10.20 pm. The arrival time at Guruvayoor, however, wouldn't change. The Mangalapuram Express, which started from Egmore at 8.45 pm, will now depart at 9.05 pm.
