Air India Express recently introduced a special benefit for passengers returning to India from the Gulf countries. They can now pre-book additional luggage at discounted rates, making it easier to carry extra baggage. Concessions are available in 5-kg and 10-kg increments. This offer is available to passengers flying from the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Tickets must be booked by January 31, and the travel period for this scheme is from January 16 to March 10.

Passengers from the UAE can pre-book extra luggage, either 5 kg or 10 kg, for just a few dirhams. The facility is available when booking tickets through the Air India Express website, the mobile app, or other booking platforms. Air India Express currently offers up to 30 kg of free luggage on select flights. With the introduction of the new pre-booked additional baggage offer, travellers can now carry up to 40 kg of luggage to India. This offer is particularly beneficial for passengers returning after the holiday season, as well as for families, friends and those carrying gifts.
