KSRTC is all set to impress its customers with some fast-food options. The corporation is teaming up with the popular label Chicking to deliver its products, especially fried chicken, on long-distance super-class KSRTC buses. The service will be available in five superclass services and budget tourism trips. As per the new venture, passengers can scan a QR code on the bus to order chicken. The meal will be delivered at the next bus stop. Passengers will receive a 25% discount, and 5% of the income will go to KSRTC. Chicking will also reportedly provide free meals to the KSRTC crew. A website for the service will also be launched soon.

A few days ago, KSRTC also decided to supply bottled water to passengers at Rs 1 below its market price. The decision was to set up a bottle kiosk near the driver's cabin for passengers to collect water. When a bottle is sold, the driver will earn Rs 1 and the conductor, Rs 2. A few months ago, a tender was also issued inviting interested parties to set up food stalls at KSRTC bus stations, to provide pre-ordered meals to passengers.
