As Kochi Metro gears up for its second phase to Infopark, KMRL has announced that metro services will now run until 11 pm. From February 15 onwards, the last services from terminal stations will depart at 11 pm. The last service of the day from Aluva Metro Station and Thripunithura Terminal Metro stations should reach their destinations in about 50 minutes. The decision was announced a day after the Kerala state Cabinet approved a loan for the Metro's new Pink Line from the JLN Stadium to Infopark.

Sivaratri services
On Sivaratri day, February 15, the last service from Thrippunithura will be at 11.30 pm. On February 16, Monday, metro services will begin at 4 am from Aluva Metro Station and operate at 30-minute intervals until 6 am. Thereafter, the metros will run on their regular schedule.

Water Metro
The Kochi Water Metro is also planning to launch high-speed hydrogen boats to the Nedumbasseri Airport. Once operational, it should take only 10 minutes from Aluva to the airport via the Water Metro. A traffic study for an 8 km route is underway.
