The 82 km Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor and the Meerut Metro will be inaugurated tomorrow in Uttar Pradesh. PM Modi will flag off the trains at UP'S Shatabdi Nagar Namo Bharat station. The PM will travel on the metro to the Meerut South Station and also inaugurate the other sections of India's first Namo Bharat Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS). This includes the 5 km Sarai Kale Khan - New Ashok Nagar section in Delhi and the Meerut South - Modipuram stretch in UP.

Places Namo Bharat connect
The 180 km/hour Namo Bharat will connect Meerut, Modinagar, Ghaziabad, and Sahibabad cities with Delhi. The Sarai Kale Khan, one of the four Namo Bharat stations that will be commissioned tomorrow, connects the Delhi Metro pink line, Veer Haqeeqat Rai ISBT, Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station, and the ring road. Modipuram, Beumpul, and Shatabdi Nagar are the other stations in Meerut.

Meerut Metro
The Meerut Metro is slated to be India's fastest metro system, with a maximum operational speed of around 120 kmph. Kerala's Kochi Metro operates at 80 km/h. The Meerut Metro will cover its complete route in 30 minutes, including all its stops. Tickets can be booked both offline at stations and online through the Namo Bharat Connect App.
