Following the escalating tensions in the Middle East, a few countries have decided to grant visa extensions to foreign nationals. India has asked foreign nationals affected by travel disruptions to contact their nearest Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) if they require assistance with visa extensions or need to regularise their stay. As of now, it is unclear how many foreign tourists are stranded in India due to flight cancellations. Sri Lanka has also granted a 7-day visa extension to foreign nationals, while Indonesia has asked affected visitors to report to immigration offices before their visas expire. Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy in Riyadh said Indians in Saudi Arabia can reach out for help via the 24*7 helplines +966-11 488 4697 and 800 247 1234.
