The bookings for the iconic Aranmula vallasadya, held as part of the annual festival at the Parthasarathy temple, are progressing at a steady pace. The vallasadya offerings organised by the Aranmula Palliyoda Sevasangham and Travancore Dewaswom are from July 19 to September 16. 51 palliyodams from Idakkulam to Chennithala will participate in the vallasadya this year. Meanwhile, Ranni palliyodam will not be attending the festivities.

The organisers aim to book at least 550 feasts this year. President KV Sambadevan and secretary KV Sambadevan said that 17 sadyalayams, or refectories, have been arranged both inside and outside the temple premises for this purpose.

All palliyodams have received bookings for the grand feast. Meanwhile, a 30-member food committee has been formed to oversee the arrangements.  KSRTC’s budget tour feast will be held at the Panchajanyam Auditorium, and the special pass feast will be served at Thekkedath Illam Auditorium. The special pass booking for the feast will begin on July 1.

Sealed quotations for procuring leaves, flowers, garlands, catering, waste disposal, boats, Yamaha boats, canopies for the feast, CCTV installation, security services, walkie-talkie supply, canopies for the boat race and printing for both the vallasadya and boat race events should reach the Palliyoda Sevasangham office before 4 pm on June 25. In addition, stories, articles, poems, and news to be published in the souvenir issued by the Palliyoda Sevasangham should reach the office before July 20. All the rituals, including the vallasadya offerings, held as part of the annual temple festivities, will be led by vice president KS Suresh, joint secretary Ajay Gopinath and treasurer Ramesh Malimel.
